What innovations for the environment?

  • 1 min read

Every day, innovative projects serving the environment are born. Ecological innovation projects can be oriented towards:

  • Products, with which goods and services are associated;
  • Processes, here we are talking about manufacturing processes or means;
  • Marketing strategies;
  • Institutions, which involve the societal domain as a whole.

Very often, ecological innovation oriented towards products and production processes favors technological development, while when focused on marketing, ecological innovation promotes even more changes.

Because of the environmental footprint of construction, or the management of construction site waste, the building sector is one of the most polluting. According to ADEME, the building sector consumes the most energy of all economic sectors, the equivalent of 70 million tonnes of oil (43% of total final energy). The average annual consumption of the building sector is in fact close to 400 kWh of primary energy per m² heated. It is therefore not surprising that one of the government's objectives is to eradicate energy-intensive homes by 2050. Ecological innovation has a lot to bring to the building sector: new materials and insulators, better thermal performance, habitat modular , better management of resources and waste... But a lot of work remains to be done!

The birth of Valoops results from this observation made on the usefulness of putting innovation at the service of ecology. We have chosen to imagine and manufacture products that are innovative in their composition but which meet the same technical requirements as traditional products. In this way, we are proud to be part of innovations that aim to respect the planet while improving our quality of life.
